Ingredients

Serves:
  • 1100 g Goodman Fielder Ingredients Pie Base Shortening
  • 2000 g Bakers Flour
  • 50 g Milk Powder
  • 60 g Salt
  • 1500 mL Water
  • 2000 g White Wings Plain Flour
  • 50 g Baking Powder

Method

Step 1

Mix the PILOT Pie Shortening, Bakers Flour, Milk Powder and Salt at a low speed until well dispersed (you can include herbs, garlic or chilli to taste).

Step 2

Add the Water to the dry ingredients and mix until clear

Step 3

Add the White Wings Flour and the Baking Powder and mix to a clear dough, taking care not to over mix.

Step 4

Pastry will take 20-25 minutes to bake at 220°-230°C

 

Note: Number of Serves based on approximately 50 Pie Bottoms, 14 cm in diameter.
